TOPIC: Virtual technate

I see what we have now is already a virtual community and has just breached the stage of operating in the real world of profit, so I tend to see we are already operating a proto-technate, but without physical land or buildings to call its own. But none the less, we are already beginning to operate, so we should continue to expand and not stall for too long whilst we consider the best path to take, but rather to evolve our solutions as we would in a real proto-technate.

Very interesting. That's also what we had in mind when constructing the Technate part of this website - to make it a virtual community where there would not be just talk, but also simulations which could help us in the making of the real thing. Of course, we must keep in mind at all times that this is just a virtual environment. Nevertheless, it should reflect our tendencies and operational techniques that we intend to implement.

Do you think that people would be interested in participating in such a project, a virtual technate?

What do we need to simulate it more profoundly?

Re:Virtual technate 6 years ago #265

We've already mentioned to simulate (a better word would be demonstrate) the usage of EC. This should by no means be confined only to the products that one could virtually acquire, but also to demonstrate the differences in EC distribution, virtual energy creation (It's kind of hard to explain this as we are talking virtually ) and an display of an evolution within a technate related to our present community, to reflect it.

I rather like Igor’s idea of a “virtual Technate” and whole I was on holiday I read the coop village book. An idea occurred to me that perhaps one way forward for constructing a proto-Technate would involve forming groups and getting a business front end off the ground before we even start buying land. So as nanos say, perhaps we have already started forming the proto-Technate here on line?

  • Nanos : I was reading in the Umea Bio - Dome Group about how late last year there was talk of "Composite Technology" helping with production of a dome, and now it appears that is not currently happening, can anyone shed light on what happened there in more detail ?
