I would like to be able to give concrete examples of how a world where we are failing (a world where the ecosystems have collapsed) would look like, and how it would affect human life. I feel that it is important to give such an honest answer as possible.

If we solve the greenhouse gas emission levels but allow the resource usage to leap beyond control?

That answer is pretty non-scientific, isn't it?
Now, we should assume that people want to know, so we don't stand "d'uh" when we get inquisitive questions. |

It's not very difficult to find out what a destroyed environment would be like -- it's already a reality in many places.
If you want to reach people, find such examples locally, people who have been there will understand perfectly. LP, Jure |

LP, Jure There are probably few places if any on Earth that justly illustrate how badly the environment could become. I think that is Enrique and Andrew's point. I think this an example of where creative media and more specifically a game development holon could be utilised. A good idea for a RPG or MMORPG would be some sort of post apocalyptic future where the earth has been devasted by the effects of global warming/pollution. I think that is the best way to engage the youth. |

It was a nuclear war before the events of Mad Max.
